How we roll...

We roll ready to go.  I'd like to talk about kid packing systems for just a sec.
The kiddos are delicate little independent ecosystems....kind of.  What I mean by that is they are far more susesptible to environmental changes than adults are.  They get hotter, colder, hungrier, tireder, happier, and complainier then big people do.
The camelback has become an essential item.  Every morning we fill them with ice and top it off with water.  This means ice-cold water all day long even on the hottest days.  Kids love to drink from straws and enjoy the cool water.
Yesterday while waiting in the sweltering Philadelphia heat waiting to go into Independence Hall the kids told me they were actually cold and were hugging up on me.  So weird.  I thought they were messing with me but, nope, they were cold from all the cold water they were drinking.
Plus the camelback has pockets for all the essentials of the trip like lunch, visitor's brochures, and of course, the 15 mile outdoors walkie-talkie.
